POG has always been my go-to drink whenever I'm in Hawaii, and now I can bring that tropical magic home! This slushy version adds a fun and refreshing twist, turning the classic passion fruit, orange, and guava juice blend into the ultimate icy treat.
In a small saucepan, combine 1/2 cup water and 1/2 cup granulated sugar. Turn the heat to medium-high heat, whisking until the sugar completely dissolves.
Increase heat to high and bring to a boil. Continue boiling until the mixture reduces by half, about 5-10 minutes.
Once the sugar mixture is done, remove it from heat and let it cool slightly while preparing the rest of the drink.
In a large pitcher, combine all three juices (4 cups passion fruit, 4 cups guava, and 3 cups orange juice) and stir well.
Add the cooled sugar mixture and stir to combine.
Pour the mixture into 4 ice cube trays (you'll have extra juice remaining. Don't toss it!)
Place the ice trays in the freezer and let it freeze for at least 8 hours.
Store the leftover juice in an airtight container in the fridge- you'll need it later to help blend the ice cubes.
After 8 hours, transfer the frozen cubes to a blender. Pour the reserved juice over the top this liquid helps create a smooth slush.
