What supplies do I need to frost a cake?
You don’t need all of these supplies, but they sure make it easier! Here are some of my favorite supplies to use:
- Cake Turntable
- Cardboard Rounds
- Non Slip Mat
- Parchment Paper Rounds
- Cake Discs
- Cake Scrapper
- Frosting Spatula
How do I make sure my cake comes out of the pan?
This can be frustrating when you bake a perfect cake and then it sticks to the bottom of the pan. There are a couple of things you can do that will make sure your cakes come out every time. First spray the pan well with some nonstick spray and second, line it with a parchment paper round. You can buy the precut paper off of Amazon.
Should you chill cake before frosting?
Yes! Chilling the cake layers before frosting make all of the difference. Trying to frost a warm or room temperature cake will often leave you with a crumby mess. If the frosting is room temperature or warm and the frosting is a bit cold it can totally tear your cake up into pieces as you spread it.
